The Barn at Sunset Acres, situated on 80 gorgeous acres, is located just a couple miles south of Canton NY in beautiful St. Lawrence County. Originally a dairy farm, Sunset Acres was purchased it in 2001 and transformed into a place that worked better for horses and beef cattle. But now, with children grown, the owners of Sunset Acres, Dan and Karen Foster, decided to go one step further and share the barn, and its picturesque surroundings, with others to make their event dreams become a reality!

Our restored 1890’s barn seats 175 guests comfortably, and a few more if both levels are utilized. It is most ideal for weddings during the spring, summer and early fall.
There is plenty of room for parking in the nearby field, from where lanterns light a stone walkway and guide your way to the barn.
Benches and flowers make a good place to stop momentarily for a photo, and the horses grazing in the pastures make the background spectacular for pictures.
New to the 2018 season, is a beautiful 24 x 30 outdoor pavilion that can be utilized for cocktail hours, smaller outdoor ceremonies, receptions, and/or dancing the night away. It boosts a gorgeous stone fireplace that can be used as a backdrop for a ceremony, to capture photos, or to create a warm ambiance for late night dancing.
Renting our restored church pews gives you the option to host your ceremony outdoors, with the fields as your backdrop.
The options are endless at The Barn and we can promise that your experience will be one to remember. Renting our facility means you will have the flexibility to create your own special day with very few restrictions. We will work closely with you, to assist in any way we can, but we encourage guests to put their own signature touch on their special day.

Although The Barn was initially created with Weddings in mind, we have broadened our horizons to open our space up for many other events. We have hosted Proms, Graduation Parties, Baby Showers, Family Reunions, and company picnics or gatherings.
